Medieval structures in historical analyses preceding the urban planning of some Piedmontese citie...s The link between the operational commitment seen in historic planning analyses and academic considerations on the different ways of making the history of the city was one of the most hotly debated urban-development topics in Italy in the 1960s and 1970s. This paper examines the method and lexicon adopted by Vera Comoli to analyse the cities that were the focus of her first studies.
