The contribution is part of a broader research aimed at defining analysis tools and languages bas...ed on codes of representation capable of describing the quality and well-being of cities, particularly within the current declensions and definitions of the term "resilience". Here are presented considerations on urban surveying and the preparation of a complex information system for graphic analysis in particular unconsolidated contexts of the city.

The concept of resilience applied to the city cannot ignore the specificities of places, a deep knowledge of the urban context, not only in its environmental, microclimatic and structural aspects, but also in its morphological and morphogenetic ones. The places of resilience are those places that in continuous change admit a rethinking.

The goal of this study was to define a language based on a coding of graphic-symbolic type that c...ould describe the comfort of a city. The research traces cultural and disciplinary foundations of the urban survey using reasoned analysis and then proposes a system of representation. The first setting of an information system for the survey of urban comfort is illustrated and related to the consolidated city (in the field of historic buildings or new construction).
