| The period of industrialization left indelible traces in the memory, image and structure of itali...an cities. As a results of deindustrialization, the so-called “industrial voids” were formed. From the 1970s to today they have been conditioning policies and instruments for their recovery redeveloping. Turin, Milan and Genoa represent the three vertices of a complex system where each city has developed three different previsions of transformation and rebirth. Industrial landscape are the results of a process of industrialization-deindustrialization-redevelopping that has generated and introduced a radical change at a territorial, urban and social scale. A utopian and imaginative reality Emphasized by the contribution of visual arts and the never-endig myth of industry has given us today small fragments and memories of a past , which is boths for away and near. |
